Product Description:
Glacial Acetic Acid is a kind of colorless, transparent liquid, CAS number 64-19-7, formula CH3COOH.
Product Application:
Glacial Acetic acid is a chemical raw material. Applications are ranging from general purpose to special products regarding customer's satisfactions.
As the basic raw material, it widely used in such products as Vinyl acetate, acetic anhydride, diketene, acetate ester, acetate, acetate fiber and chloroactic acid etc.
1. It is an important raw material for synthesized fiber, gooey, medicines, pesticides and dyes, and also a good organic solvent. In soap making used as saponification and bleaching agent.
2. It is widely applied in such industries as of plastics, rubbers and printing etc.
3. It widely used in Solvents, dyes, celluloseacetate, pharmaceuticals, in-socticides, textile printing, photographic film and coagulating rubber latec.
Due to the advanced technology and economy of this method, the methanol low-pressure carbonylation method has mostly been used in newly built large plants since the mid-1970s. In 1984, the world's annual acetic acid production capacity reached 6Mt, of which low-pressure carbonylation accounted for about 40%. 1. The fermentation method uses the light wine liquid (containing 3-6% ethanol) obtained by starch fermentation. Under the action of vinegar mother bacteria, the light wine liquid is fermented at about 35°C, and the light wine liquid is oxidized into vinegar by air. In addition to 3-6% acetic acid, vinegar also contains other organic acids, esters and proteins. The fermented ones are mainly used to make vinegar. 2. Synthesis method It is the main method for industrial production of acetic acid. (1) Acetaldehyde oxidation method. Use acetaldehyde as raw material, use oxygen or air as oxidant, conduct liquid phase in a bubble tower reactor at 50-80°C, 0.6-1.0MPa and manganese acetate catalyst. Oxidation (see industrial examples in this article). (2) Methanol low-pressure carbonylation method. Also known as the Monsanto method. A catalyst system composed of rhodium carbonyl compounds and iodides is used to react methanol and carbon monoxide in aqueous acetic acid medium at about 175°C and below 3.0MPa to generate acetic acid. Since the catalyst has high activity and selectivity, there are very few side reactions. The reaction product Chemicalbook is successively processed by a dehydration component tower and a dehydration tower. The separated perovskite components and aqueous acetic acid can be recycled back to the reactor. The gas leaving the reactor is first washed with cold methanol to recover the iodomethane brought out (in the middle product) and then sent to the carbon monoxide recovery device. The crude product obtained is then purified by distillation to obtain the finished product acetic acid. With methanol juice, the yield is >99%. Methanol low-pressure carbonylation method to produce acetic acid has the advantages of cheap raw materials, gentle operating conditions, high acetic acid yield, good product quality and simple process. It is currently the most technically and economically advanced method in acetic acid production. However, the reaction medium is severely corrosive and requires the use of expensive special steel. (3) Methanol high-pressure carbonylation method Methanol and carbon monoxide react in acetic acid aqueous solution, using cobalt carbonyl as the catalyst and iodomethane as the cocatalyst. The reaction conditions are 250°C and 70MPa. After the reaction product is separated by the separation system, the finished product can be obtained. Based on methanol, the yield can reach 90%. (4) Liquid phase oxidation method of low carbon alkanes. Normally n-butane is used as the raw material, acetic acid is used as the solvent, and liquid phase oxidation is carried out at 170-180°C, 5.5MPa and the presence of cobalt acetate catalyst, using air as the oxidant. Liquefied petroleum gas or light oil can also be used as raw material.
