1. Product Name, Type, and Specification
1.1 Product Name: Exsanguination Tourniquet (belonging to class II medical device, classification code 14-04-03).
Its core patent-protected technology is a line of single-use devices for quick and effective displacement of blood from the limbs and blocking its re-entry.


1.2 Product Type: The device can be divided into upper limb type and lower limb type, depending on the position of use. The specifications are distinguished by the different colors of the pulling straps and the total length (L). See the table below for details.
 
To determine the correct product size, the patient's limb circumference at the desired occlusion location should be measured, as well as their blood pressure to determine the best model.

1.3 Product composition: An elastic silicone ring, an elastic stockinet sleeve, two colored pulling straps, two handles, a binder tie, and a plastic card.



2. Main performance index

2.1 Size
The outer diameter D of the elastic ring of the upper limb type (except model L1500) is between 77±4mm; that of L1500 is between 57±4mm.
The outer diameter D of the elastic ring of the lower limb type (except model L2400, L2500, L2600) is between 99±5mm; that of L2700 and L2800 is between 104±5mm.
The thickness of the plastic card is between 0.8±0.1mm.

2.2 Appearance
The device should be clean, and free of dirt or damage.
Before use, the elastic sleeve is wrapped around the elastic ring, and the shape of the elastic sleeve after unfolding is like a sock tube.

2.3 Tensile Force
The elastic sleeve of the upper limb type should be able to withstand a force of 150N without damage.
The elastic sleeve of the lower limb type should be able to withstand a force of 150N without damage.
A single pulling strap of the upper limb type should be able to withstand a force of 150N without breaking.
The binder ties should be able to withstand a force of 150N after being locked, without breaking or tripping.

2.4 Strength
The elastic ring of the upper limb type should be stretched to 200mm without breaking.
The elastic ring of the lower limb type should be stretched to 200mm without breaking.

2.5 Sterilization
The product is delivered in a sterile state and should be sterile.

2.6 Residual Ethylene Oxide
The product is sterilized by ethylene oxide, and the residual amount of ethylene oxide should not exceed 10 µg/g.

3. Application Field
Limb surgeries that require exsanguination and occlusion.

4. Contraindications
4.1 Patients with severe skin damage on limbs.
4.2 Patients with insufficient peripheral blood flow, edema, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
4.3 Patients with limb infections or malignant tumors.
4.4 Patients who have had heart disease and respiratory disorders that were caused by exsanguination devices.


13. Use Method 13.1 Measure the circumference of the hemostatic site of the patient's limbs.Make sure that the circumference of the limb is between 14-85cm.If the measured circumference is beyond the above range, please use other methods to drive hemostasis. 13.2 Open the outer package of the product, take out the product from the inner package according to the aseptic operation procedure in the operating room and put it on the operating table to ensure that the protective card is available at the end of the operation. 13.3 According to the operation position, disinfect to the upper middle arm and upper thigh, and cover the edge of disinfection area with sterile transparent cloth. 13.4 Product installation 13.4.1 Upper limb model product: if the patient is awake, let the patient gather the thumb and four fingers together; if the patient is not awake, the assistant s taff (wearing sterilized gloves) will hold the patient's thumb and other four fingers together; insert the patient's finger tip into the opening of the product and make the handle back to the patient, grasp the two handles close to the patient's arm and pull toward the proximal end.At the same time, another assistant (wearing sterilized gloves) grasps the end of the limb to resist traction, so as to make the product roll towards the proximal end of the arm. 13.4.2 Lower limb model products: the assistant staff (wearing sterilized gloves) insert the patient's toe into the opening of the product and make the handle back to the patient, grasp two handles close to the patient's lower limb and pull to the proximal end. At the same time, another assistant (wearing sterilization gloves) grasps the end of the limb to resist traction, so that the product rolls on the lower limb towards the proximal end. 13.5 Pull the handle until the elastic silicone ring of the product is pulled to the hemostatic position: 10cm proximal to the wrist or mid-arm,5-15cm proximal to the lateral mallelous or mid-thigh.The product should be kept within the disinfection area of limbs. 13.6 Use sterile water for injection or 0.9% sodium chloride injection to infiltrate the elastic sleeve on the surgical site, and then cut it.Wetting the elastic sleeve before cutting can minimize the fabric fragments, and the surgical site can be covered with sterile transparent cloth. 13.7 After the operation, insert the protective card under the elastic silicone ring from the distal end, cut off the elastic silicone ring with a scalpel, cut off the elastic sleeve with scissors and take it off the patient's limb. At this time, the patient's limb recovers blood circulation, and attention should be paid to hemodynamic changes and timely treatment. 14. Storage Condition The product should be placed in a clean room with a relative humidity of no more than 80%RH, no corrosive gas and good ventilation. 15. Transport Condition In the process of transportation, packaging is prohibited from collision and rain. 16. Manufacturing Date and Expiry Date Refer to the manufacturing date and expiry date on the label. 17. Disposal Method The product is disposable, it should be disposed according to the local medical waste disposal regulations if it is out of expiry date or failed to use.
