Industrial production methods include wet and thermal methods. The phosphoric acid produced by the former has a lower concentration and contains more impurities, so it needs to be purified. For example, a ketone-alcohol mixture is used as the extraction system to refine wet-process phosphoric acid. Through the process of extraction-washing-back-extraction and barium salt precipitation and purification, qualified 85% industrial phosphoric acid has been produced. The latter produces phosphoric acid with high concentration and purity, but consumes large amounts of electricity and requires high investment and cost. The wet method is produced by decomposing phosphate rock with acid. This method is divided into sulfuric acid method, hydrochloric acid method, nitric acid method and ammonium bisulfate method. The sulfuric acid method is commonly used. Due to the different reaction temperatures and concentrations of phosphoric acid produced by the sulfuric acid method, there are three different forms of calcium sulfate crystals in the phosphoric acid aqueous solution. According to their production processes, they are divided into "dihydrate" process, "semihydrate" process, and "anhydrous" process. , in recent years, the "semihydrate-dihydrate" process and the "dihydrate-semihydrate" process have also appeared. In the wet (sulfuric acid method) dihydrate process, the phosphate rock is crushed to 80 to 100 mesh, then added to the extraction tank, and light phosphoric acid and return acid are added to maintain the liquid-to-solid ratio of the slurry (2.5 to 3.5): 1 (weight ratio) and adjust the phosphoric acid concentration. Add 102% to 104% of the theoretical amount of sulfuric acid into the extraction tank, and perform an extraction reaction with phosphate rock powder at 75 to 85°C for 4 to 8 hours. The slurry after the reaction is filtered, and the filtrate is phosphoric acid, with a concentration generally between 20% and 25% P2O5. Part of it is returned to the extraction tank to adjust the liquid-to-solid ratio, and the other part is sent to evaporation and concentration to produce finished phosphoric acid. The Ca5F(PO4)3+5H2SO4+10H2O→3H3PO4+5CaSO4?2H2O+HF↑ filter residue is discharged after multiple washings. The phosphogypsum is used as raw material for making sulfuric acid, and the washing liquid is returned to the extraction tank.
