1. MEG is mainly used for the production of synthetic resins, surfactants and explosives, especially for textile industry, MEG can be produced into synthesize polyester fiber
2. MEG could also be used as antifreeze, especially in automotive antifreeze and deicing vehicle.
Ethylene glycol, also known as glycol, is the simplest aliphatic glycol and has the chemical properties of alcohols, such as it can generate ethers and esters, can be oxidized to generate aldehydes or acids, and can be condensed to generate ethers.
